Prince William receives new title from Charles as Prince Harry arrives in the UK

At the start of this month, the British royal family saw significant developments. Prince Harry returned to London to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, while his brother, Prince William, received a notable honor from King Charles, sparking talk of a potential snub to Harry.

King Charles III appointed Prince William as the colonel-in-chief of the Army Air Corps. The palace stated, โ€œHis Majesty the King will officially hand over the role of Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps to His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales.โ€ This role was previously held by King Charles for 31 years.

Williamโ€™s new position is particularly significant as it puts him in charge of Harryโ€™s former unit. In 2009, Harry trained as an Army Air Corps pilot and was selected to train on the Apache Attack Helicopter, receiving his provisional wings from his father.

Public interest in the royal family is heightened due to the strained relationship between Prince Harry and King Charles. During Harryโ€™s visit, he and his father did not meet, with the kingโ€™s schedule cited as the reason. Harry expressed hope to see his father soon.

Despite the tension, Harry was pleased to return to the UK. He praised the work of Scottyโ€™s, an organization supporting children, saying, โ€œThe more opportunity you get to do these kinds of events, the more the families and kids know this place exists which is really the most important thing,โ€ as reported by BBC.
