Dennis Quaid Speaks Out After Texas Floods Nearly Reached Daughter’s Camp. Actor Dennis Quaid has opened up about the emotional toll the recent catastrophic floods in Texas had on him and his family. In a July 11, 2025 interview with Fox News Digital, Quaid shared how he spent a sleepless night fearing for the safety of his 17-year-old daughter, Zoe Quaid, who was working as a counselor at Camp Longhorn, about 75 miles from the hardest-hit areas near Kerrville.
“I tried calling her that night, but couldn’t reach her until the next day,” Quaid said. “I didn’t get much sleep.” Though the camp remained physically unaffected, the emotional impact was real. One of Zoe’s fellow campers lost her entire family when their RV was swept away by floodwaters near the Guadalupe River.
