Father Of Slain Teen Criticizes School For Allowing Alleged Killer To Graduate

The father of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf, who was fatally stabbed at a Frisco track meet, is fighting to stop the suspected killer from receiving a high school diploma.

Austin was stabbed in the heart on April 2 during a fight at Kuykendall Stadium. The suspect, 18-year-old Karmelo Anthony, was charged but later placed under house arrest. Despite this, Centennial High School plans to grant Anthony his diploma, sparking outrage.

Austinโ€™s father, Jeffrey Metcalf, filed a formal complaint against the school for awarding the diploma to Anthony. Anthonyโ€™s spokesman said the suspect wonโ€™t participate in graduation due to house arrest but will still graduate early.
