After his first day at the new school, Little Johnny went straight to his room and diligently worked on his Math homework. Hours passed as he immersed himself in the problems, determined to solve them. This pattern repeated the next day, and the day after that.
Curious about their son’s sudden dedication, Little Johnny’s parents decided to ask about the transformation. They went to his room and asked, “Johnny, what brought this on? You’re working so hard!”
To their surprise, Little Johnny smiled and said, “When I walked into my Math class on Monday and saw a picture of a man nailed above the blackboard, symbolizing an addition operation, I instantly knew they meant business!”
