Within the span of his life, it is easy to say that Prince William has been through a great deal. He was just an adolescent when he lost his loving mother, Princess Diana, and he has been groomed to one day become king ever since the day he was born. Princess Diana was the inspiration for the future king. Following the passing of Princess Diana, members of the Royal Family, including Prince William, have made several efforts to pay tribute to her memory in a variety of different venues.
It has been well known that Diana made an effort to bring up William and his brother, Prince Harry, in a manner that was as normal as possible. This is similar to the way that the Prince of Wales and his wife, Kate Middleton, are presently bringing up their own children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
However, William is not just following after his cherished mother in terms of the manner in which he is bringing up his children. One more tragic custom that the Prince of Wales adopted from the late Princess Diana has been disclosed by the Prince of Wales.
As they were growing up, Prince William and Prince Harry were the greatest of friends, and the demise of their mother, Princess Diana, only served to enhance their friendship with one another.
A person’s upbringing is always going to be quite different from that of “average” people if they are a member of the Royal Family. On the other hand, Diana’s desire for her boys to have a sense of normalcy was made abundantly clear when some of her earlier letters were found. During the month of March in 1985, Diana wrote a particular letter. This letter was written barely six months after the birth of her youngest son, Harry.
The upbringing that Prince William and Prince Harry received from Princess Diana
“William is completely smitten with his younger brother, Harry, and spends the entire time showering him with an endless supply of hugs and kisses, hardly allowing the parents to come close!” According to the information provided by The Sun, Diana’s handwritten letter reads.
The letter, which was sent by Diana to Cyril Dickman, a former steward at Buckingham Palace, was sold at an auction in Cambridge in the year 2017. Diana said in earlier letters that Prince Harry, who was a teenager at the time, was “constantly in trouble” at school due to his behavior. As an additional point of interest, she wrote about the happiness that comes with becoming a mother and portrayed the “difficult period” that was to come in her life.
It was common for Princess Diana to take Prince William and Prince Harry to amusement parks and other pleasant places. Even though they were members of the royal family, she was aware of the significance of treating them in the same manner as any other kid. Keeping this in mind, she would slip them out of the palace on occasion in order to acquire some quick food before they returned.
“I remember the princess came into the kitchen one day and said, ‘Cancel lunch for the boys, I’m taking them out, we’re going to McDonald’s,” Darren McGrady, who had previously worked as Diana’s personal chef, revealed in an interview with Marie Claire.
I proceeded to say, “Oh my God, your Royal Highness, I am capable of doing that; I am capable of making burgers.” But she responded by saying, “No, it’s the toy that they want.”

A statue of Diana was unveiled in the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace in London during the summer of 2021, on the occasion of what would have been Diana’s 60th birthday. This occurred on the same day as Prince William and Prince Harry were reconciled.
“Today, on what would have been our Mother’s 60th birthday, we remember her love, strength, and character – qualities that made her a force for good around the world, changing countless lives for the better,” Harry and William said in a joint statement. “We remember her love, strength, and character.”
Every day, we wish that she were still here with us, and our desire is that this monument would be seen as a symbolic representation of her life and the legacy she left behind for all time.
Three years later, in 2017, on the twenty-year anniversary of Diana’s death, the two brothers gathered together to discuss their mother. Diana had passed away twenty years before.
“If everyone says that she was funny, then please provide an example for us.” Harry stated that the only sound he can hear is her laughing.
“She was one of the most mischievous moms; she would come and watch us play football while sneaking sweets into her stockings. She would actually walk back from a football match with five packets of candy in her hands. Simply put, the whole garment was stuffed with cookies and candies.
William continued by saying, “We felt incredibly loved by her, and I am very grateful that feelings of love continue to exist between us.”It seems like a nice moment to remember her, and I hope that giving you a different aspect of her would be beneficial.
