Story: A widowed Jewish lady

A widowed Jewish lady, still elegant and in very good shape, was sunbathing one afternoon on a quiet, deserted beach near Tel Aviv.

The sun was warm, the sea was calm, and for once, there was almost nobody around. She was enjoying the silence when she noticed a man about her age walking along the sand.

He was also in good shape, nicely dressed for the beach, and had a calm, pleasant look about him. He placed his blanket not far from hers, sat down, opened a book, and began reading.

The woman glanced at him a few times, smiled to herself, and decided there was no harm in starting a conversation.

โ€œHello there,โ€ she said warmly. โ€œEnjoying the day?โ€

The man looked up from his book and smiled politely.

โ€œYes,โ€ he replied. โ€œThe sun is beautiful, the sea is wonderfulโ€ฆ itโ€™s a perfect day. And you?โ€

โ€œPerfect,โ€ she said. โ€œI love coming here when itโ€™s quiet.โ€

They chatted for a few minutes about the weather, the beach, and how peaceful everything was.

Then, after a short pause, she leaned a little closer and lowered her voice.

โ€œTell me something,โ€ she whispered. โ€œAre you circumcised?โ€

The man looked up from his book, slightly surprised, and answered honestly.

โ€œNo, Iโ€™m not.โ€

The woman smiled and said, โ€œWell, then, youโ€™re not missing much!
